Our Humanities class will explore the essential question of how we can live powerful lives. We’ll begin our inquiry with a look into how humans fit into the natural world, and how we can derive inspiration from connecting with natural phenomena. This work will push us to write imaginatively on personal topics and ultimately gain powerful insight into our own personal conflict. After spring break, we will look into how we interact with others on a bigger scale: how can the citizen assert their rights in a large, bureaucratic, and often-times unfair society? Our academic content will focus on the bureaucracy of forensic analysis, as well as 4th Amendment search and seizure protection. Ultimately, our semester will give us tools to harness the power within ourselves, and to direct that action into working as thinking, acting, POWERFUL citizens.
